We Meet at Last || Xander & Olive

ollie-moretz:

Olive couldn’t believe it. After months of talking through letters, phone calls, and skype chats, she was finally meeting Xander. How long had she been dreaming about this moment? Ever since she developed a crush on him maybe. She couldn’t believe it though, it was finally happening. It was funny: back then she thought that she wouldn’t get much out of the whole pen pals thing and now she was gaining a new love. It was insane.

Stepping into the restaurant, Olive wiped her hands over her jeans nervously, scanning the place. She was so nervous, she had made sure to look her best in a cute light blue blouse and dark jeans, topped off with her flat heeled boots that stopped right below her knees. She had light make up on and her dark waves of hair cascaded down her back. Would Xander liked the way she dressed? She certainly hoped so. When Olive heard her name, she looked in the direction and came from and smiled widely.

A little squeal of happiness left her, her small body moving towards Xander. God, he was so cute in person and very tall. He made her look tinier than she was. “Hi!” She gave him a big grin, immediately wrapping her dainty arms around his frame in a hug. “I’m sorry if I’m weird, I’m really excited!” She giggled and bit her lip to hold back her excitement. “How was your flight?” She asked with a smile, looking up at his super cute face. Olive was certain this would turn out wonderfully.

Xander immediately wrapped his arms around her in a hug, noticing straight away how tiny she was compared to him. Then again he was pretty tall compared to most people so he really wasn’t surprised about the height difference. “That’s a good thing right? That you’re really excited?” He asked with his big grin still in place. He grudgingly let go of her so they could sit down at the table. “The flight was long and boring. The movies weren’t working so I couldn’t even watch something to ease the boredom.” He said, rolling his eyes.

Xander reached over to the menus and handed one to Ollie, giving her yet another smile. “You look amazing.” He said, hoping he didn’t sound too cheesy or anything like that. He wanted to make a good impression on her. After the months they had spent exchanging letters and the like, he felt like they had built up a good friendship. He didn’t want to ruin that now.

“So what’s good to eat here?” He asked, quickly changing the subject. He wondered why he was so nervous. The pair of them had spoken over Skype plenty of times before but there was something about actually meeting her that put him on edge. It didn’t help that she was incredibly beautiful. He knew she was beautiful from the pictures she sent him and seeing her on Skype but in reality, there was something about her in person that took his breath away.
